About meand how I work

Matteo Avanzi, graphic designer, photographer and art director

With a background in industrial design, I’ve spent over twenty-five years creating everything brands need to communicate effectively: traditional graphic design for print, print and digital publishing, user interface and user experience design for apps and websites, product photography and corporate videos. I work with businesses and independent professionals in Italy and abroad, both remotely and on site.

With me, you have a single point of contact for graphic design, photography, video and digital media. Fewer hand-offs, faster turnaround and a consistent brand identity across every channel, from print to social media.

  • I listen

I understand your goals, audience and budget before designing anything.

  • I design

I propose a clear direction and we develop it together, step by step.

  • I deliver

Files ready for print, web and social media, on the schedule agreed at the start.

Brand, print, trade fairs

Graphic designand corporate identity

A consistent visual identity makes your company look professional and trustworthy, before you even say a word. As a freelance graphic designer, I create logos, brochures, catalogues, sustainability reports, packaging and exhibition graphics that are instantly recognisable and keep working for you even when you’re not there.

Real estate, industry, products

Photographyand video

Images are the first thing your clients notice. I photograph interiors for real estate, products for catalogues that I can also design myself, and the industrial world: factories, facilities, production processes, and chemical and pharmaceutical laboratories. I also bring these subjects to life through video. And when you need an image that doesn’t exist yet, I create it using artificial intelligence for advertising campaigns, social media and product visuals.

Websites, apps, interfaces

Consultingand digital

A digital project works when design, content and technology work seamlessly together. I work alongside you as an art director and web designer on websites, apps and campaigns. And when a project moves from screen to paper, I oversee it all the way through to print.

Digital paint, painting, experimentation

Creativitywithout a brief

Here, no client sets the rules: just digital painting, hand painting and experimentation. It’s my creative lab for colours, shapes and techniques, where many ideas take shape before finding their way into client projects. Some works become prints for homes, offices, hotels and residential spaces: a little corner of art that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Frequentlyasked questions

What does Matteo Avanzi do?

Matteo Avanzi is a freelance graphic designer, photographer and creative consultant. He works on logos and corporate identity, brochures, catalogues, trade fair stands, packaging, photography and video for real estate, industry and products, websites, apps and social media content.

Where do you work?

I work online, with clients in Italy, Germany and the rest of Europe. For photo and video shoots and installations, I travel wherever needed.

Do you also work with small businesses and professionals?

Yes. I work with manufacturers, retailers, estate agencies, professional firms and start-ups. The method is the same: understand the goal and find the most effective solution for the budget.

Do you design catalogues and trade fair stand graphics?

Yes. I design product catalogues, including multilingual ones, brochures and leaflets, and trade fair stand graphics with 3D renderings, following the project all the way to print-ready files.

Do you do industrial and real estate photography?

Yes. I photograph companies, production departments, machinery and products, and I shoot interior photos and videos for estate agencies and private clients, in Italy and abroad.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on what you need and how many materials need to be produced. After a short call I’ll send you a free, detailed quote, so you know from the start what’s included and how much you’ll spend.

Do you use artificial intelligence?

Yes, as a tool: to explore ideas, create images and speed up some stages. But every piece of work is designed, checked and finished by me, with the same care as always.

Which languages do you work in?

Italian and English.

Why entrust graphic design, photography and website to one person?

Because your image stays consistent across every channel: logo, catalogue, photos, website and social media speak the same language. With a single point of contact there are fewer hand-offs, fewer misunderstandings and faster turnaround.

How does a project work?

In three stages. Listening: I understand your goals, audience and budget. Design: I propose a clear direction and we develop it together. Delivery: files ready for print, web and social media, on the agreed schedule. Most of the work is done remotely, with calls and shared materials.

How long does a logo, a catalogue or a website take?

It depends on the complexity and the amount of material. Timings are agreed at the start and written into the quote, so you know from day one when the finished work will be ready.

What do you need to prepare a quote?

Just a few details: what you need, who it is for, your deadline and, if you like, an indicative budget. You can write to me through the form on the website or book a short call: the quote is free and with no obligation.

Can I see work similar to my project?

Yes. To respect client confidentiality, not all projects are public: tell me what you need and I will show you examples close to your project.
